I think he is of the non-aggressive....

The things I see...

First there are the two dogs that greet me. After that the hog. Then the ostrich. If I am lucky, the buffalo are no where around. Then I repeat the process again on my way out.

Calm upon the St.John's

This past month I traveled to Palatka for a one day training class with Florida Power. Arriving an hour early, I traveled across town and crossed the bridge over the St John's and parked on the South side.
I was able to see the sunrise as well as this view of the moon setting over the expanse. It was an impressive sight to see such a large river, being used to the much narrower Suwannee up our way.

The Day the Heavens Parted

We hear

We hear of mysterious things
How come the gloam
The Magnolia take wing
And memory flies to long gone home.

In the Winds

In the winds of May
Magnolia lifted me away
It was a most difficult day
Until she came my way.

Wall of Separation

Fall from Separation
by john clare

And from the higher side
A fall
A tread to enter
Grasping
Gasping
As around feathers fall
To water
As wine
Sweet to one
Another gall
One drowns
Another
The entrance
Found.

Lair of Levithian

Lair of Levithian
by john clare

In the murky mists an uncertain
Disturbing, stirring
Whirling, whirling ever luring
Ancient of years
Source of all fears
Eyes of firing light
Drawing me to the brink
Sinking, sinking into the
Murky mists
That ever stirring, disturbing
Luring me deeper, deeper
Whirling, whirling
Into its terrible allure.

For Mossy Covered Palmetto

After a long absence from Blogging due mainly to the computer laptop crashing again, I am back, minus many photographs lost, but thankful for the ones I did send over to SmugMug. I had the opportunity to back the laptop up to Carbonite, but did not like the extra $50, so I declined. I suppose Carbonite sent the bug to crash me...Ha. The problem with being away so long, there are now over 1600 photographs from two SD cards I loaded onto Picassa today. Going through them, as usual, while they looked great on the little camera screen, now that they are loaded, they just don't have the pop and vividness. My next task, should I ever get to it, is to find a monitor that matches the clarity of the little S95 camera.
Today is a good day for catching up a bit as tropical storm Beryl is overhead now as I type, light rain, though you would think it would be more intense. For now, over and out....
A good way to spend Memorial Day.
